It's been quite a while since I last made an entry in this blog...and looking back at the few entries I had posted the past year or so, I realized that when I began to become more happier with life, I just stopped writing.
To a certain extent this experience is much like my prayer life. When the hard times come, that's when I begin to pray again, and when it's over I never really do...in that note ako'y nagbabalik-blog, to constantly remind me that good things are better shared than kept, wonderful memories are better written down than forgotten, random thoughts are better considered than ignored, and sometimes, maybe, my nonsense might make some sense to others.

Dasal
Amen.

For Mommy Else
Yesterday, my aunt passed away.
She was the strictest, most meddle-some, nosy, easily annoying kind of aunt you might have, but despite this, we all knew that she was also the most caring, most thoughtful, self-sacrificing, concerned person in our family.
Everyone would remember her never missing a birthday. She never forgets to greet anyone whenever he/she celebrates his/her birthday, as if her body clock also reminds her of these things. Some would also remember her as their "phone pal". I remember hearing her voice everyday simply because she loved to call us at home, just to ask what we were doing, what we were up to, etc. If someone woul be name the most "active" in the family, I think she would also be the one recognized as that. She would usually know everyone's secrets, and would have said a word or two about any issue going on in the lives of her siblings and their families.
Aunt Elsie was the typical nagger of a mom, but she was our mo. She was the Mommy Else of everyone in the family. Her household went beyond the four walls of their house, even reaching out to the US, where one of her siblings reside.
I'll miss her.
Thank you Lord for Mommy Else. Thank you for showing your love to us through her.
